Description
Natural Resources Canada requires an open license for existing high-density, leaf-off lidar data acquired in Fall 2024 or later, covering Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, and Halifax, with an area of interest of approximately 6,150 km². The contractor must perform additional processing and analysis and deliver the lidar data to detailed accuracy, datum, classification, projection, and file-format specifications. Interested suppliers must submit a statement of capabilities demonstrating that they hold the relevant data rights, can provide a license compatible with the Open Government Licence – Canada, meet the technical requirements, and cover at least 90% of each city's municipal boundaries. The ACAN identifies Airborne Imaging / Forsite as the pre-identified supplier; sufficient evidence from another supplier would trigger a competitive process.
