FERC is seeking public input on the environmental review of the proposed Longboard LNG Project in Honolulu County, Hawaii; this notice is not a procurement solicitation or contract award. - Government agency: Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), U.S. Department of Energy. - Project proponent: Longboard TerminalCo, LLC, also referred to as Longboard LNG. - Proposed project facilities: An LNG import terminal with a single-point mooring system, an approximately 3-mile-long, 16-inch-diameter subsea natural gas pipeline, an approximately 2-acre onshore receiving facility, and related facilities. The nearshore pipeline segment is planned for installation by horizontal directional drilling. - An internationally flagged floating storage and regasification unit would receive LNG carrier deliveries through ship-to-ship transfer. The unit is described as non-jurisdictional and leased under a long-term time charter. - Environmental review: FERC is considering potential effects on land, water, wildlife, cultural resources, communities, air quality, noise, safety, marine conditions, and construction activities. The United States Coast Guard and Environmental Protection Agency intend to participate as cooperating agencies. - Land and seabed disturbance: Construction is expected to affect approximately 270 acres; about 27.3 acres would remain in permanent use, with the rest restored. - Public input: FERC invites comments on environmental effects, alternatives, and measures to avoid or reduce impacts. Public scoping sessions are planned in Honolulu and Ewa Beach. - Procurement status: No product or service purchase, contract value, or period of performance is specified. No OEMs, product line items, or service line items are identified.
