On-call plan-check, building inspection, and permit technician services for the City of Inglewood

The City of Inglewood is seeking qualified firms to provide on-call building safety services as needs arise. - Government buyer: City of Inglewood, through its Purchasing and Contract Services Division, for the Building Safety Division. - Services requested: Plan checks, building inspections, and building permit technician support. Work is assigned as needed, is not guaranteed, and may be remote or in person depending on the task. - Plan checks: Review plans, specifications, calculations, and related documents for code and City compliance across disciplines such as structural, architectural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, energy, CALGreen, grading, and accessibility. Initial reviews are generally due within 14 working days and resubmittals within 7 working days, unless otherwise authorized. - Inspections and permit support: Inspect work against applicable codes, approved plans, and permits; document results in City systems; and support permit processing, customer service, application review, records, and coordination. Work may be requested outside normal business hours. Inspection staff must provide required resources, including a vehicle, and may need to attend hearings or legal proceedings. - Credentials and compliance: Inspection staff need applicable current ICC certifications. Plan-check staff need applicable professional engineer or architect licenses and current ICC Plans Examiner certification. Permit technicians need current ICC Building Permit Technician certification. Description

The City of Inglewood is seeking proposals for on-call, as-needed plan check, building inspection, and building permit technician services under the direction of its Building Safety Division. The consultant will provide the personnel, labor, transportation, materials, equipment, and other resources needed to perform assignments, with the specific work, effort, schedule, and location determined by the City. Services must comply with applicable federal, California, and City of Inglewood laws, codes, regulations, policies, and procedures. The contract term is three years, with options to extend for up to two additional years.
