Graves County School District is seeking high-speed WAN service to connect its high school with six remote campuses. - Government buyer: Graves County School District; Jack A. Smith, Chief Information Officer. The connection serves Graves County High School and Fancy Farm, Farmington, Sedalia, Symsonia, and Wingo Elementary Schools, plus Mayfield Youth Development Center. - OEM: Extreme is the manufacturer of the district’s existing network equipment. No proposing vendor or fiber-equipment OEM is named. - Requested services: Proposals may provide vendor-managed lit fiber, vendor-maintained dark fiber managed by the district, or comparable high-speed WAN technology. The network must carry data, voice, and video between the high school and six remote sites. - Lit fiber: at least two single-mode strands with LC connectors to each remote site; a minimum 10 Gbps connection and upgrade capability. One service table states a maximum capacity of 50 Gbps, while the narrative specifies upgrade capability to 40 Gbps. - Dark fiber: 12 single-mode strands total, two per remote site, supporting up to 40 Gbps; the district manages the lit service. - Alternative technology: must meet the WAN connectivity requirements and be identified as comparable to the lit- or dark-fiber option. - Notable requirements: Dedicated, isolated point-to-point connectivity; compatibility with existing Extreme equipment and LC optics without requiring the district to buy new equipment; installation and initial configuration; fiber testing and standards compliance; and provider responsibility for repairs at no cost to the district. Proposals should include per-site recurring costs, implementation plans, and fiber route maps. Funding depends on E-Rate and district funds.
