The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to replace the chilled-water pump and motor at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center boiler plant in the Bronx. - Government buyer: Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 2, James J. Peters VA Medical Center; Contracting Officer: Akkil Kurian. - Scope: Provide and install one new chilled-water pump and one compatible motor, and remove the existing equipment. - OEMs and vendors: No pump or motor manufacturers, OEMs, or commercial vendors are named; the pump and motor are subject to VA review and approval. - Work also includes field verification, electrical reconnection, restoration of piping insulation, startup and testing, cleanup, restoration, closeout documentation, and an operations and maintenance orientation. - Key requirements: Coordinate shutdowns with VA Engineering and obtain authorization before shutdown; submit pump and motor technical details for VA approval; use Autodesk Build; provide a project schedule within 10 days of Notice to Proceed (NTP). - Performance period: Begin work within 30 calendar days of NTP and complete within 180 calendar days of NTP; no option periods are stated. - The firm-fixed-price construction solicitation is set aside for service-disabled Veteran-owned small businesses.
