The City of Davenport is seeking a contractor to repair the historic exterior canopy at Union Station. - Government buyer: City of Davenport, Iowa; Public Works, Purchasing Division, and City Engineer/designated Project Manager. - OEMs and vendors: No manufacturers, OEMs, or product vendors are identified in the solicitation materials. - Requested work: Structural, architectural, and historic-preservation repairs, including removal and repair or replacement of deteriorated canopy elements, surface cleaning and refinishing, waterproofing and coatings, and installation of canopy glass and lighting components. - Base bid: Type G1 canopy glass and replacement globe bulbs—specified in the plans as 2700K LED bulbs in frosted, exterior-rated globes. The glass is to match existing panel sizes and quantities and be installed with UV-resistant gasketing and sealant. - Alternates: Alternate 1 substitutes Type G2 canopy glass for Type G1. Description

The City of Davenport is seeking bids for structural, architectural, and historical preservation repairs to the exterior canopy at Union Station. The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment needed for the repairs, including removal and repair or replacement of deteriorated canopy elements, cleaning and refinishing, and new canopy glass and exterior-rated globe bulbs. Bid alternates include a different canopy glass type and replacement of existing light sockets and canopy globe bulbs. Bids must be submitted through the City’s e-bidding system; email, fax, paper, and other submission methods will not be accepted.
