Empire AI Consortium, Inc. is requesting information and comments on accelerator-based AI/HPC computing systems of up to 5 MW IT load and supporting white space infrastructure for the Gamma phase of its Research Computing Center at the University at Buffalo in Amherst, New York. The requested information covers system architecture and configuration, facility infrastructure requirements, indicative acquisition, installation and operating costs, budget timing across two tranches, delivery timelines, and input for a future RFP. Responses are invited from manufacturers, OEMs, resellers, and system integrators; no pre-qualification is required, and teaming arrangements are permitted. The anticipated program budget is approximately $160 million across two tranches, but this is an informational RFI, not a solicitation, and no contract will be awarded from responses.
