The Bureau of Reclamation is researching suppliers for one integrated soil cyclic triaxial testing system for its Technical Service Center. - Government buyer - U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation - Office: Technical Service Center - OEM and named vendor - GDS Instruments is identified as the manufacturer of Reclamation’s existing cyclic triaxial system, which the new system must interface with directly. No manufacturer is specified for the new system. - Requested system — quantity 1 - Small-diameter soil cyclic triaxial testing system, including a triaxial cell; electronics compatible with existing 110V power; pressure transducers; 10 kN internal axial load cell; load ram; controller and data acquisition system; hydraulic installation kit; and lifting system. - Includes a base pedestal, top cap, and specimen-preparation kits for 38 mm, 50 mm, 70 mm, and 100 mm specimens. - Includes on-specimen LVDTs and signal conditioning for 38 mm, 50 mm, and 70 mm specimens, with two axial and one radial LVDT for each size; displacement transducers; and software for dynamic cyclic loading and load control. - Notable technical and supplier requirements - Conform to ASTM D3999 and interface directly with Reclamation’s existing GDS Instruments hardware and software. - Support specimens up to 101 mm in diameter and cell pressures up to 2 MPa; operate at up to 5 Hz. - Provide a 100 mm displacement range with 0.2-micrometer resolution, a USB computer interface, and axial force accuracy below 0.1% of full-scale output and below 0.4 kN for a 10 kN load cell. - Be plug-and-play, made with new parts, and supplied with current calibration documentation. Include at least a one-year supplier warranty. - Supplier must demonstrate successful construction, commissioning, and sale of at least five similar systems worldwide, with qualified technicians available for support, maintenance, and repair. - Delivery is to the Reclamation Technical Service Center in Denver; Reclamation personnel will perform installation and setup. - Opportunity context - This is a market-research sources-sought notice, not a solicitation.
