The U.S. Air Force is seeking replacement and installation work and related support for the Building 670 paint booth HVAC system at Robins Air Force Base. - Government buyer: Department of the Air Force, through Air Force Materiel Command and the Air Force Sustainment Center; the requirement supports the 402d Commodities Maintenance Group. Contracting offices identified include FA8571 Maintenance Contracting and AFSC PZIO MXW; CDRLs identify WR-ALC/402 CMXG and, for one item, WR-ALC/402 AMXG. - OEMs: Carrier is the named brand for the Building 670 100-ton HVAC unit. Separate attached Air Force chiller standardization material names Trane, Carrier, Daikin, and York as approved manufacturers at various installations. - Main equipment requested: One 100-ton Carrier makeup air unit/condenser, one HMI control system, and one override-shutdown/side-access safety door system. The installation also includes new ductwork and interlocking working and breathing air. The attached chiller material describes 1,654 replacement HVAC chillers across Air Force installations, without specifying models or installation-level quantities. - Work and support: Remove the existing HVAC system; review the product offering; prepare preliminary and final designs; furnish engineering, telephone and on-site technical support, warranty liaison services, training, installation, and acceptance testing. - Notable requirements: Replacement-part designs require written Government approval before installation, and replacement components must be new, OEM-compatible, and meet or exceed OEM specifications. The contractor must provide equipment manuals and design and test documentation, hold a Georgia HVAC license, and meet applicable safety, environmental-management, and energy-management training and reporting requirements. - Performance timing: The solicitation describes performance within six months after award, while the initial release summary describes an expected nine-month period; the provided materials do not resolve the discrepancy. - Estimated value: $1.5 million for the Building 670 requirement. The separate chiller standardization material does not provide a contract value.
