The U.S. Army is seeking CATV service and related equipment for a government site in Huntsville, Alabama. - Government buyer: U.S. Department of the Army, W6DP CPE ISW Aberdeen. - Request: CATV transmission service, installation, configuration, and maintenance, plus 10 digital signal converter boxes with HDMI outputs. - Channel and signal requirements: Basic local, Continental U.S., and public-access channels, including channels such as C-SPAN, with a clear 1080p HD picture and HD sound. Premium channels requiring extra fees and pay-per-view are excluded. - Equipment and support: Provide TAA-compliant equipment (or obtain a waiver where applicable), equipment documentation, post-installation training, and a printed user guide. Respond to service issues within four hours and notify the COR if service cannot be restored within 24 hours. - OEMs and vendors: No manufacturers, OEMs, or vendors are named in the solicitation materials. - Performance period: Five years, consisting of a base year and four option years; equipment maintenance coverage begins at installation.

Description

CATV services: The Contractor shall provide the same basic number of channels as those typically offered to commercial and residential customers of the greater Huntsville, Alabama area that do not require the payment of additional access fees, such as premium channels (i.e., HBO, Showtime, etc.) or Pay-per-View. The TV signals shall contain access to local, as well as Continental US channels/networks and Public Access channels such as CSPAN.
