This Department of Transportation Federal Register excerpt reports regulatory and administrative actions, not a purchase of products or services. - Government agencies: U.S. Department of Transportation, including the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), and Federal Transit Administration (FTA). - Named organizations: Loomis Armored US, LLC; NJ TRANSIT; and Jersey City Municipal Utilities Authority. - FMCSA exemption: Renewed a five-year exemption for Loomis Armored US, LLC to operate its armored vehicles with original cab doors welded shut and two high-security doors behind the cab. The vehicles also have an emergency escape hatch; the replacement doors are biometric-enabled and include an interior-accessible override for power loss.
