The U.S. Postal Service is seeking a contractor to transport and deliver mail on the HCR 99579 route in Chugiak, Alaska. - Government buyer: U.S. Postal Service (USPS), Contract Delivery Services (CDS), Central Transportation Contracts Office. - Service requested: Regular highway box-route mail transportation between Chugiak, AK, and H079, AK, under route identifier HCR 99579. - The route is a 28.7-mile round trip, operated daily except Sundays and holidays, for an estimated 303.07 annual trips. - Estimated annual workload is 8,698.1 route miles and 2,839 hours, serving approximately 620 boxes. - Work includes casing, loading, transporting, unloading, and delivering mail along the route. - Vehicle requirement: One vehicle with at least 120 cubic feet of usable space. - Additional requirements: Proposals must describe the operating plan, equipment, drivers, costs, and contingency operations.
