The U.S. Forest Service is seeking installed bear-resistant lockers and picnic tables for Winiger Ridge campsites in Colorado. - Government buyer: U.S. Forest Service; Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and Pawnee National Grassland; Boulder Ranger District. - Requested products: 5 Bear Saver FS24-UP bear boxes in Forest Brown, each installed, plus 5 concrete bear-box bases; 5 picnic tables with concrete bases and installation. Each table requires three 3-inch-by-12-inch-by-10-foot planks. - Named manufacturers and vendors: Bear Saver (bear boxes), Jamestown Advanced Products Corp (picnic-table hardware), and Fort Collins Pre-Cast (concrete table legs). No part number is provided for the concrete bases or picnic tables. - Services and notable requirements: Mobilize and haul tables, bear boxes, and supplies to the campsites; install the products at five dispersed campsites along NFSR 359.1 and 359.1A. Work includes concrete bases for both bear boxes and picnic tables. - Performance period: Approximately two months; this is a one-time installation project, not an annual subscription. - Set-aside: Total small-business set-aside.

Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.  Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.  

Solicitation number 1240LT27Q0017 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for new picnic tables and bear boxes at existing dispersed campsites 1-5 in the Winiger Ridge area.  The campsites are located along NFSR 359.1 and 359.1A on the Boulder Ranger District of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forest and Pawnee National Grassland. This acquisition  is set-aside for small business concerns.  The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 327390  The small business size standard is 500 EMP  This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside.  All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
