NAVSUP WSS Philadelphia is seeking repair of one electric warming oven for a United Kingdom P-8 aircraft Foreign Military Sales case. - Government buyer: Department of the Navy, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (WSS), Philadelphia; buyer contact: Sarah Austin. - OEM / intended source: AVIATION COMMUNICATION & SURVEILLANCE SYSTEMS is the only source the Government intends to solicit, citing the lack of technical data to support repair or manufacture by another source. - Item: One OVEN,WARMING,ELECTRIC, part number 4313100-00-6600; NSN 7310171251500; CAGE 81205; serial number N19030053AA0099. - Requested service: Evaluate and repair the Government-furnished oven, including inspection, disassembly, testing, labor, and materials needed to restore operational and functional performance. Repair turnaround is 209 days after receipt of the asset. - Notable requirements: The repaired item must meet operational and functional requirements and be packaged for overseas shipment. Early and incremental deliveries are preferred. Other sources may submit capability information, but source approval is required and will not delay an award.

Description

This is a solicitation for the repair of Navy Weapon System P8 Aircraft -  for NAVSUP WSS to repair 1 unit of OVEN,WARMING,ELECTRIC for the United Kingdom. NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Philadelphia is seeking eligible contractors to furnish effort including labor, material, and facilities as may be required to repair and/or modify the items as specified within this document.

The Government intends to solicit only one source (AVIATION COMMUNICATION & SURVEILLANCE SYSTEMS) under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The government does not possess (or cannot provide) the data necessary to perform the required repairs or manufacture of the items.

All responsible sources may identify their interest and provide capability statements in response to the notice.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.

However, all proposals received within 5 days after the publication of this synopsis notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Source Approval is required. WSS will not delay award while Source Approval is pending.

The time for approval of a new source is normally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. If you are not an approved source you must submit, together with your proposal, the information detailed in the NAVSUP-WSS Source Approval Information Brochure for Repair.
