The City of Bryan is seeking proposals for three sewer and wastewater construction packages serving its NW Sewer Interceptor and Still Creek facilities. - Government buyer: City of Bryan, Texas — Purchasing Department. - Packages and estimated construction amounts: Package A, NW Sewer Interceptor (D42431), $278,145; Package B, Still Creek Sewer Plant Bank Stabilization (D40015), $1,120,540; Package C, Still Creek WWTP Pump Replacement (D42621), $171,500 base bid, plus estimated pump-elbow alternates totaling $7,950. - Package A: Remove existing sewer infrastructure and install 30-inch ductile iron aerial-crossing sewer (116 LF), 30-inch SDR 26 PVC sewer (299 LF), 24-inch SDR 26 PVC sewer (46 LF), 18-inch SDR 26 PVC sewer (43 LF), concrete piers, manholes, and slope protection. Includes a FURNCO connection to an existing 20-inch sewer line. - Package B: Repair and stabilize the creek bank; install 30-inch SDR 26 PVC effluent pipe (268 LF), 12-inch SDR 21 PVC storm sewer (254 LF), two 12-inch swing check valves, one 6-foot doghouse manhole, two force-main interconnections, sheet piling (revised bid schedule: 6,348 SF), and 192 SY of grouted rock rubble. A 1,000-CY compacted general-fill alternate is also listed. The site plan gives a different sheet-piling quantity; bidders should verify the governing schedule and plans. - Package C: Replace three pump assemblies: one 6-by-6-inch Pump #4 and one 6-by-6-inch Pump #6, each with a motor; and one 10-by-8-inch Pump #8 with a motor. Existing motor data identifies 25 HP motors for Pumps #4 and #6 and a 60 HP motor for Pump #8. Work also includes piping, valves, fittings, gauges, painting, removal of two existing slide gates, and bypass pumping for 30-, 42-, and 15-inch mains. Three separate alternates cover one replacement elbow each: 12-by-10-inch for Pump #4, 20-by-10-inch for Pump #6, and 20-by-14-inch for Pump #8. - OEMs and named products: No pump manufacturer or pump part numbers are specified. FURNCO is named for the Package A sewer connection; Excel 995-10 and Flex-Terra HP-FME are named in slope-protection and seeding specifications, respectively. - Notable work requirements: The contractor supplies the labor, equipment, and tools for pump removal and installation; immersion pumps are not acceptable. Cleared material must be hauled away rather than burned, and access to the north side of Still Creek is through the neighborhood, not through the wastewater plant. Trench safety planning is required for excavations deeper than five feet. - Schedule: Estimated construction durations are 75 working days for Packages A and C and 120 working days for Package B; the solicitation also states an overall completion allowance of 360 working days. The City may adjust the schedule.
