Fort Knox sale of one load of mixed scrap metals

The U.S. Army’s Fort Knox Qualified Recycle Program is offering a mixed-metal scrap lot for sale to the highest-value bidder. - Government buyer: U.S. Department of the Army, W6CD U.S. Army Garrison (USAG) Fort Knox; Fort Knox Qualified Recycle Program (QRP). - Sale: One load of Lot #2 scrap metals, approximately 43,501 lb across 15 bales, 1 crate, and 23 Gaylord boxes. - Materials: Aluminum in several grades, zinc medallions, copper/brass, stainless steel, transformers, electric motors, and insulated copper wire. Item-level quantities and approximate weights are listed below. - Logistics and costs: The winning bidder must provide a 53-foot van trailer and collect the materials within 10 working days after award. Gaylord boxes are charged at $18 each, or $414 total. - Evaluation: Bids are evaluated on best price. No OEMs, manufacturers, or other vendors are named.

The Fort Knox Qualified Recycle Program is issuing an invitation to bid on the Sale of Lot #2 Scrap Metals. This is a Government Sale. The duration of this solicitation is for 1 load. If interested, please open the attached sales solicitation/agreement, complete and return to the Fort Knox Recycle Center. Ensure the solicitation is filled out completely to include a signature, date, address, telephone number, and initials on each page in the designated fields.
