The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) is seeking an independent testing provider for its Axon TASER 7 conducted energy weapons (CEWs). - Government buyer: Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), through its procurement and contracting functions. The materials refer to Procurement and Contracting Directorate, Acquisitions and Contracting, and Procurement, Materiel and Asset Management. - OEM: Axon, manufacturer of the TASER 7 CEWs. No testing-service vendor is identified. - Requested service: Independent electrical testing of RCMP TASER 7 devices; this is a testing-services procurement, not a purchase of weapons. - Estimated volume: 2,500 devices per year during the five-year initial period and each of up to three one-year options. The figure is an evaluation estimate, not a guaranteed order quantity. - Assess pass/fail against Axon electrical output specifications and RCMP limits, including trigger-pull and ARC-switch conditions; clean contacts and retry with a second battery pack when required. - Return tested devices within 10 business days. Failed or defective units must be routed to the RCMP Armourer Depot Division, with originating units notified. - Provide monthly Excel reports, including executive summaries and detailed test data, by the 15th of the following month. - Notable requirements: ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation; secure, alarmed Canadian laboratory facilities and authorization to store CEWs; and qualified electrical-testing and report-analysis personnel. Suppliers must meet the stated Canadian or applicable trading-partner eligibility requirements.
