Description

The St. Croix Abattoir seeks a qualified contractor or technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair the Carcass Rail Elevation Lift System used during evisceration. The system is lowering gradually during operation instead of holding its selected position, creating an operational and potential safety concern. Work includes inspecting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components; repairing or replacing faulty components; and testing that the system maintains its elevation. The contractor is also to provide recommendations for further repairs or replacement and a preventative maintenance schedule; on-site visits are welcomed and recommended.
