NAVSUP WSS is seeking capable sources to manufacture a cartridge-actuated initiator for the AH-64 helicopter egress system. - Government buyer: NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS), Mechanicsburg. - Product requested: MT06 Cartridge Actuated Initiator, NSN 1377-01-269-6496, to source control drawing 6260964; quantity is not specified. - OEMs and vendors: No manufacturers, OEMs, or prospective vendors are named in the notice. - Notable requirements: The Government seeks approved sources and states it cannot provide the manufacturing data. The item requires labor, materials, and facilities for manufacture.

Description

NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Mechanicsburg is seeking eligible contractors to furnish effort including labor, material, and facilities as may be required to manufacture the items as specified within this document. 

The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with two approved sources under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Government intends to solicit for the procurement of: NSN 1377-01-269-6496, MT06, Cartridge Actuated Initiator source control drawing 6260964 for use on the egress system of the AH-64 helicopter.   The government does not possess or cannot provide the data necessary to perform the required  manufacture of the item. 

All responsible sources may identify their interest and provide capability statements in response to this notice.  This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.  However, all responses received prior to the closing date of this sources sought notice will be considered by the Government.  A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Approval of a source may be required and WSS will not delay award while Source Approval is pending
