NASA is assessing whether to compete a proposed sole-source purchase of a liquid thermal-property measurement system for testing propellant materials. - Agency and location: NASA Shared Services Center (NASA/NSSC); testing at Lab 105E, Building 4205, Marshall Space Flight Center. - Potential awardee/OEM: THERMTEST INC, identified by NASA as the sole provider. - Product: Thermtest THW-L1S, for measuring thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity, and volumetric specific heat in liquid and phase-change material samples. - Key requirements: Operate from at least -50°C to 200°C; have ASCENT-compatible wetted surfaces; measure samples with varying viscosity and support measurements over time; allow connection to an external chiller/heater. - Notice purpose: Capability statements are requested to assess whether other sources can meet the requirement. Quotes will not be accepted or evaluated. - Timing: Testing is to begin in winter 2026; no end date or duration is specified.

Description

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES. ANY PRICE OFFERS RECIEVED WILL NOT BE REVIEWED / ACCEPTED AT THIS TIME. A price quote alone generally does not provide sufficient information to evaluate a vendor's technical capability.
