Powder-coating services for ACC Detachment 9 LCTE equipment

The Department of the Air Force is seeking nearby powder-coating providers for Air Combat Command Detachment 9 equipment at Luke Air Force Base. - Government buyer: Department of the Air Force, Air Combat Command (ACC), ACC/A3, Detachment 9 / Training Support Squadron, Luke Air Force Base, Arizona; contracting office FA4887 56 CONS CC. - Requirement: Commercial industrial/military-grade powder-coating services for Low-Cost Threat Emitter (LCTE) system aluminum chassis shells, enclosures, and access doors. The contractor must provide labor, materials, equipment, and supervision, and price services by item. - Estimated volume: Approximately 50 complete systems annually, comprising 100 chassis shells and 400 access doors, processed in periodic batches. Orders are recurring, but there is no guaranteed minimum purchase. - Technical requirements: Coatings must be uniform, durable, and suitable for outdoor exposure, salt spray and galvanic corrosion, abrasion, chipping, gouging, and transit impacts. They must seal against sand, dust, and moisture without trapping condensation. Coat the Frame Assembly on exterior surfaces only and the BPU Assembly on interior and exterior surfaces; components arrive fully assembled and raw. - Location and finish details: The performing facility must be within 30 minutes of Luke AFB. Sandblasting and Cardinal BG631 or GN264 are examples of prior practice, not mandatory specifications. Transportation may be handled by either party. - Named manufacturer/brand: Cardinal is referenced for historical finish examples only; no OEM is mandated.
