The 772nd Enterprise Sourcing Squadron is conducting market research for trained working dogs to support overseas government requirements. - Government buyer and users - Department of the Air Force, under the Department of Defense; 772nd Enterprise Sourcing Squadron, Joint Base San Antonio (Lackland). - The requirement supports the 341st Training Squadron. The draft statement of work identifies the Department of War as the buyer and describes potential use by DoD and other agencies, including TSA. - Requested dogs and services - Fully trained military working dogs for Patrol/Explosive and/or Patrol/Drug duties. The notice asks whether sources could propose 20 dogs; the category split is not specified. - The draft statement of work describes broader working-dog categories: single-purpose detector, DoD I and II detector/patrol, TSA detector, and special-purpose detector dogs. - Contractors would present candidate dogs for medical, behavioral, and performance evaluations; only dogs passing the applicable evaluations would be selected for purchase. - Notable requirements - Dogs are generally expected to be 12–36 months old and have ISO-compliant microchips, medical screening, and category-specific breed, temperament, and capability qualifications. - No part numbers, named vendors, or fixed purchase quantities are provided in the draft statement of work. The 20-dog figure is raised as a market-research question, not a confirmed order. - Opportunity status - This is a sources-sought notice for market research, not a solicitation or award. The draft describes a potential five-year BPA, with individual calls permitted to extend up to 12 months beyond BPA expiration.
