NWS NEXRAD HVAC Unit Replacement at Three Radar Sites

NOAA’s National Weather Service is seeking replacement HVAC equipment and installation at three NEXRAD radar sites. - Government buyer: Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service (NWS), Western Acquisition Division (WAD-NWS), NEXRAD. - OEM: Bard; Bard equipment is specified, with equivalent or newer models permitted where described. - Products requested: - 6 wall-mounted, self-contained, air-cooled 5-ton HVAC units (2 per site), 230/208 V, 3-phase, 60 Hz, 11.0 EER. Units must fit existing shelter openings without modification. - 3 Bard MC 4002 Lead/Lag controllers (1 per site), or newer equivalent, integrated with the NEXRAD alarm system. - 3 Bard CMC-30 dirty air filter switches (1 per site), or newer equivalent, with required cables and sensors, unless the HVAC units include factory-installed filter pressure switches. - Services: Remove and dispose of the existing HVAC equipment; provide and install replacement units and controls; integrate required alarms; test operation; and clean up at Battle Mountain, Nevada; Phoenix, Arizona; and Flagstaff, Arizona. - Notable requirements: Required alarms include Compressor 1 Fail, Compressor 2 Fail, and Dirty Filter Alarm. Work must begin within 10 business days of award; on-site work is due within 90 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. Overall completion is within 240 days after award, with no option periods identified.
