New York State DOCCS is seeking standby pharmacy suppliers to provide medications when its primary statewide prescription-contract vendors cannot fill an order. - Government buyer: New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS), through its Central Pharmacy Services, for incarcerated individuals at 41 correctional facilities statewide. Coverage is organized into eight lots. - Requested products and services: Controlled, legend (prescription), and over-the-counter medications, plus standby pharmacy services when vendors under the New York State Office of General Services (OGS) Statewide Pharmaceuticals—Individual Prescriptions Contract (Group 10201 / Award 23241) cannot supply a prescription. This includes after-hours orders and medications unavailable through those vendors. - Products, quantities, and part numbers: No defined prospective drug list, part numbers, or order quantities are provided. The historical usage report includes many medication transactions, including buprenorphine/naloxone formulations, but it is not a forecast or guaranteed order. Orders are placed as needed. - Notable requirements: Orders received before the specified evening cutoffs are generally due before noon the following day; suppliers should make every effort to provide same- or next-day delivery. Pharmacy software and operating systems must integrate with DOCCS’s existing KALOS CIPS and Nexgen DXScript systems. - Named vendors: Omnicare of New York, LLC and Orphan Pharmacy Services, LLC are identified as existing standby suppliers, not as selected vendors for this opportunity. No medication manufacturers or other product OEMs are named. - Historical spending: Approximately $1.96 million across two existing standby contracts over 30 months; this historical figure does not establish future contract volume.
