Emergency Storm-Damage Repairs to Three USDA Forest Service Buildings in Chino Valley, Arizona

The USDA Forest Service is seeking a contractor to complete emergency storm-damage repairs at three buildings at its Chino site in Chino Valley, Arizona. - Government buyer: U.S. Forest Service, Southwest Region (R03), Prescott National Forest; the release also identifies USDA-FS, CSA Southwest 7. - Work requested: Supply labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and incidentals for repairs to the Yard Office, Supervisor’s Office, and Shop. Work includes asbestos abatement; roof, drywall, insulation, door, ceiling, gutter, downspout, and siding work; metal-roof maintenance; upper-window-frame repairs and caulking; and Z-bar installation. - Base-bid quantities: 950 SF of Yard Office roofing; 784 SF of Yard Office drywall and insulation; 344 SF of Yard Office ceiling and insulation; 102 LF of Z bar; 92 LF of Yard Office gutters and downspouts; 73 SF of Yard Office siding; and 146 LF of Shop gutters and downspouts. Other base-bid items are lump-sum tasks. - Options: Yard Office exterior painting, Shop garage-door weather stripping, and a Shop door sweep. Description

This project consists of providing all materials, equipment, labor, transportation, and incidentals for completion of the repair storm damage sustained on three buildings at this site.

The repairs are to include roof replacement, dry wall and insulation replacement, a door replacement, ceiling and insulation replacement, installation of gutters and downspouts, and to replace a portion of the side of the Chino Yard Office; to perform maintenance to the metal roofs on the Supervisor’s office and the Chino Shop; to repair window frames on upper windows, to caulk ALL of windows, and to install a Z bar at the roof line on the Supervisor’s Office; and to gutters and downspouts on the Chino Shop.

This project could also include, if additional funds are available, optional bid items. The optional bid items are exterior painting on the Yard Office; replace the weather stripping on two garage doors and a door sweep on a manway; and if mold is found in the Supervisor’s Office to replace the dry wall and insulation.
