Residential Solid-Waste Collection and Disposal for Hanwell

The Rural Community of Hanwell is seeking a contractor to collect and dispose of residential solid waste for about 2,850 households. - Government buyer: Rural Community of Hanwell, Office of the CAO. - OEMs and named vendors: No OEMs or collection-service vendors are identified. The disposal destination is the Capital Region Service Commission Sanitary Landfill Site in Fredericton. - Services requested: - Weekly collection, removal, and landfill disposal of household garbage and refuse for approximately 2,850 households, including seasonal dwellings, on public and private roads. - Up to nine large household-item collections per household per year, on request, including appliances and furniture. - Collection on regular service days of qualifying farmers’ low-density polyethylene film, up to 8 mil thick. - Notable requirements: Provide covered trucks suitable for private roads, backup equipment and sufficient staffing; respond to complaints; deliver waste to the specified landfill; and keep industrial, commercial, and institutional waste separate from municipal waste.

Description

The Rural Community of Hanwell invites tenders for solid waste collection and disposal services for approximately 2,850 households. The initial contract term is January 1 through December 31, 2027, with an option to renew for two additional one-year terms by written agreement. Services include weekly household garbage collection and disposal, collection of nine large items per household each year, and service on public and private roads within the specified areas. Collected material is to be delivered to the Capital Region Service Commission Sanitary Landfill Site in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
