The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities is requesting public comments and information on proposed preventative maintenance for select Northern Region National Highway System Non-Interstate and Community Transportation Program routes. Proposed work includes maintenance and rehabilitation of paved and gravel roads, pavement striping and markings, shoulder and ditch repairs, culvert and storm-drain cleaning, signage repair or replacement, and lighting-system repairs or refurbishment. The work is anticipated to begin in 2027. Written comments are due November 9, 2026.
