Description
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, through U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, seeks public comment on an extension without change of its approved information collection. The collection includes Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Supplement A, Supplement J, and the Physicians National Interest Waiver. Form I-485 is used to request and determine eligibility for adjustment of permanent residence status, with related forms covering adjustment under INA section 245(i), employment-based job offers or portability, and physician national interest waiver requirements. Comments are requested on the collection’s necessity, burden estimates, quality and clarity, and ways to reduce respondent burden; comments are accepted until December 22, 2026.
