Johnston Community College is seeking an independent CPA firm to audit its financial statements for the applicable fiscal year. - Government buyer: Johnston Community College, part of the North Carolina Community College System under the State of North Carolina; Purchasing office. Contact: Wade Quinn, Director of Purchasing. - Service requested: One financial statement audit engagement for the College. The separate Johnston Community College Foundation audit is excluded unless the scope is amended. - Audit requirements: Follow U.S. generally accepted auditing standards and applicable GASB and North Carolina Office of the State Controller requirements. Government Auditing Standards apply when specified, including if combined federal and/or State financial assistance exceeds $750,000. - Scope includes risk assessment, internal-control review and testing, financial statement and disclosure evaluation, applicable compliance work, follow-up on prior findings, coordination with College management, required communications, and final reporting. - Any Single Audit or other compliance audit must be expressly included in the contract approved by the Office of the State Auditor. - Proposal considerations: Firms should address relevant experience, staffing, audit approach, independence, quality control, security, and cost, and confirm they can meet the requested performance window. - OEMs and vendors: No commercial OEMs or audit firms are named in the opportunity.
