Typical ratings are about 3–2,500 KVA, predominantly 10–75 KVA. - Approximately 5,000 KVA annually of equipment containing oil with less than 50 PPM PCBs, primarily transformers. This category may be awarded separately. - Oil in drums or bulk, quoted per gallon: less than 2 PPM PCBs and 2–49 PPM PCBs. - Miscellaneous equipment quoted per pound, including reclosers, capacitors, sectionalizers, potential and current transformers, oil circuit breakers, bushings, and attached hardware. Disposal charges are deducted from payments to the Utility. - Services and requirements: Load and remove equipment, transport and store it, treat and recycle oil, recycle metal by smelting, and dispose of non-recyclable material appropriately. The Utility pumps and drains equipment; the contractor handles the drained equipment and bulk oil. Remove available material within 20 calendar days of notification, transport devices on flatbed trailers with sideboards, meet applicable hazardous-material and spill-response requirements, and provide recycling or disposal certificates. Equipment is sold as-is and may not be resold for reuse. Oil containing 1–49 PPM PCBs must be dechlorinated to below 1 PPM; if repeated treatment attempts fail, use a qualified incinerator for energy recovery. The Utility may request separate pricing for equipment with 50 PPM or more PCBs and asks whether the contractor can store and process it. Facilities must document applicable EPA and state approvals and permits.
