The Town of Westminster is seeking a turnkey replacement of Forbush Memorial Library’s two gas-fired boilers, including installation of new Ideal boilers or equivalents. - Government buyer: Town of Westminster, WTH001 - Town Hall; Office of the Town Administrator. - Requested equipment: - 1 Ideal Gallant Solo 399K gas-fired boiler, or equivalent; no part number specified. - 1 Ideal Gallant Solo 250K gas-fired boiler, or equivalent; no part number specified. - Existing equipment: Two Peerless gas-fired boilers are to be safely disconnected, removed, and disposed of. - Turnkey work includes moving the new boilers to an adjacent room; reworking piping; replacing flue piping and providing fresh-air venting; adding dehumidification; wiring the boilers and reusing existing controls; and purging, startup, testing, permitting, and inspections. - The completed system must be functional and code-compliant. Work is to proceed as soon as feasible, weather permitting, with the contractor proposing an installation and completion schedule for Town approval.

Description

The Town of Westminster seeks sealed bids to replace two existing gas-fired boilers at Forbush Memorial Library, 118 Main Street, Westminster, Massachusetts. Work includes installing two new boilers in an adjacent room, associated piping, venting, electrical and controls modifications, dehumidification, and removal and disposal of the existing boilers. The contractor is also responsible for permits, inspections, startup, and testing; work is to be completed as soon as feasible, weather permitting, and prevailing wages apply. Attendance at the mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit on November 2, 2026, is required, and bids are due November 12, 2026.
