LTBMU Snow Removal and Ice Mitigation at Three Administrative Sites

The USDA Forest Service’s Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit is seeking snow and ice management across three administrative sites in the Lake Tahoe area. - Government buyer: U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Forest Service, Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit (LTBMU). - Request: A small-business contractor to provide periodic snow removal and ice mitigation at the Forest Supervisor’s Office, Meyers Work Center, and Tallac Historic Site / South Shore Estates Area. - Services and requirements: Plowing and rotary snow removal for designated roads and parking areas. The Supervisor’s Office and Meyers Work Center require service seven days a week when snowfall thresholds are reached, with early-morning clearance deadlines and additional response after significant afternoon snowfall. South Shore Estates is on-call and requires 24-hour notice due to a locked gate. The contractor supplies labor, equipment, materials, and supplies and must protect site features. - Estimated service quantities: Base-year schedule estimates 2 occurrences at each site. Each of four option years estimates 12 occurrences at each site. Quantities are estimates; each EA represents one snow-removal occurrence. - Schedule item numbers: Base year 0001–0003; Option Year 1 1001–1003; Option Year 2 2001–2003; Option Year 3 3001–3003; Option Year 4 4001–4003. For each period, the first number is the Supervisor’s Office, the second is Meyers Work Center, and the third is Tallac Historic Site / South Shore Estates Area. - OEMs and vendors: No manufacturers, OEMs, or vendors are named; no products or product part numbers are requested.

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.  Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. 

Solicitation number 12444527Q0006  is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for periodic snow removal services across three (3) administrative sites of the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit (LTBMU).

This acquisition  is set-aside for small business concerns.  The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 561730  The small business size standard is $9.5 million.  This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside.  All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
