The Department of the Air Force intends to sole-source completion of cabling and related installations for Building 1614 Phase 2 at Hanscom Air Force Base. - Buyer: Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), office AFLCMC/PZI, supporting AFLCMC/HNJ. - Proposed contractor: Northern Electric Inc. - Work: Complete partially finished Fiber-to-the-Desk (F2D) cabling, install four server racks, and provide printer drops. - Sole-source rationale: Northern Electric is already mobilized onsite, has security access, and is familiar with the conduit. The notice cites the risk of unacceptable facility-activation delays if the work is competed. - Notice status: This is a notice of intent, not a request for proposals or bids; it does not itself constitute an award.

Description

AFLCMC/PZI intends to award a sole-source purchase order to Northern Electric Inc. to complete partially finished Fiber-to-the-Desk (F2D) cabling, four (4) server rack installations, and printer drops for Building 1614 Phase 2 in support of AFLCMC/HNJ.

This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Invitation for Bid (IFB); The Air Force does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice or to otherwise pay for the information to be solicited. Although “proposal” and “offeror” are used in this Pre-solicitation, your responses will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal.
