The Department of Veterans Affairs is researching maintenance services for RO/DI water systems supporting sterile processing and research at Northern California facilities. - Government buyer: Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Affairs Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS), within VA Sierra Pacific Network (VISN 21); Network Contracting Office 21. - Opportunity status: Sources-sought market research for reverse osmosis preventive maintenance, not a request for quotations. - OEMs and existing equipment: - AMPAC USA — AP800 systems at the Mather Research Lab and Martinez Pharmacy spaces. - US Water Systems — SPS system at Mather. - Ameriwater — HCR03 SPS system at Redding. - Requested services: Preventive maintenance and repair for RO/DI systems serving Sterile Processing Service (SPS) and Research at Mather, Martinez, and Redding. Scope includes inspections, filter and component maintenance, cleaning, sanitization, performance and water-quality monitoring, and maintenance records; the contractor supplies labor, parts, tools, test equipment, transportation, and expertise. - Perform at least two routine annual sanitizations for each SPS RO/DI system; two are included in the fixed annual operations and maintenance cost. The VA may request additional sanitizations. - Provide government-authorized unscheduled maintenance and repairs, with assessment and written scope and quote; prior written approval is generally required. - Maintain 24/7 emergency response capability and arrive on site within six hours of VA notification. - Train facility staff in basic operation and troubleshooting and provide ongoing technical support. - Notable technical requirements: Follow OEM instructions and applicable ANSI/AAMI ST108 requirements. - Period of performance: 365 days from award, with four additional one-year options at the VA’s discretion.
