E&I Cooperative Services, Inc. is seeking proposals for sustainable furniture and related services for its education-sector members. - Buyer: E&I Cooperative Services, Inc.; Sourcing Manager, Facilities & Interiors. The cooperative serves higher education, K–12, academic healthcare, and research institutions. - OEMs and vendors: No furniture manufacturers, brands, or specific vendors are named. Respondents must be manufacturers/providers or fully authorized dealers/resellers. E&I Cooperative Services, Inc. is the named buyer and cooperative. - Products requested: Office, classroom, lounge, and systems furniture for academic, residential, administrative, and student spaces, including supplies, accessories, and special-order catalog products. No models, part numbers, or purchase quantities are specified. - Services requested: Furniture installation and maintenance, timely delivery to member institutions and campuses, and product-selection and project support. - Notable requirements: Offerings must meet applicable quality, technical, environmental, and performance standards. Proposals should address certified low-VOC materials, sustainable manufacturing, durability and lifecycle value, reconfigurable systems, replaceable upholstery, recycling or take-back options, reduced packaging impact, warranties, and project support. Member participation and purchase quantities are not guaranteed. - Agreement term: An initial five-year term with a possible renewal of up to five additional years.

Description

E&I Cooperative Services is requesting proposals from qualified suppliers for renewable, sustainable furniture. Respondents must be the manufacturer/provider or a fully authorized dealer/reseller for the products or services proposed, which must meet applicable standards. E&I intends to establish an agreement with one or more awarded suppliers for member purchasing; the initial agreement term is five years, with a renewal term of up to five years. Proposals are due November 2, 2026, at 1:00 PM Eastern and must be submitted through E&I’s Electronic Sourcing Solution.
