The City of Punta Gorda is seeking a turnkey replacement for its water-meter AMI system, including field equipment, communications, software, installation, and long-term support. - Government buyer: City of Punta Gorda, Procurement Division, Florida. - OEMs and named systems: Zenner is the incumbent AMI system being replaced. SENSUS UI-1203 is cited as a protocol for connecting certain existing larger meters. CentralSquare NaviLine is the City’s existing ERP and billing platform that the new system must integrate with; no proposed AMI OEM or model is specified. - Products requested: New potable positive-displacement meters, with ultrasonic meters as an alternate, for 3/4-inch through 8-inch sizes; AMI endpoints; communications and AMR backup equipment; meter boxes and lids; installation and field-testing equipment; and the associated valves, fittings, and piping modifications. Specific product part numbers and most bid quantities are not provided. - Existing inventory: The attachment lists approximate counts of 11,179 5/8-inch, 1,444 1-inch, 907 1.5-inch, 212 2-inch, 33 3-inch, 19 4-inch, 13 6-inch, and 9 8-inch meters. These are inventory counts, not confirmed order quantities. The requested work generally replaces meters, registers, and endpoints for smaller meters; existing larger meter bodies are to be retained and connected through replacement or compatible endpoints. - System and services: Provide and configure the AMI network, cloud-hosted meter data management software or middleware, customer portal and utility dashboard, and API integration with CentralSquare NaviLine. Include installation, activation, data transfer, project management, training, and ongoing network and software support. - Notable requirements: Demonstrate the solution through 500 meter installations and achieve at least 98% end-to-end communication performance during the specified demonstration period. Include AMR drive-by backup, secure managed hosting, analytics and customer alerts, GPS and photographic installation records, and 24/7 customer support. Provide at least four references for comparable systems that have operated for at least two years and serve at least 10,000 meters. - Contract term: 10 years from Notice to Proceed, with two optional 5-year extensions; network and software services are included.
