Illinois CMS is seeking providers for on-demand professional moving services and related supplies for public entities in Region 1. - Government buyer: State of Illinois, Department of Central Management Services (CMS), Bureau of Strategic Sourcing (BOSS), in agreement with the Chief Procurement Officer for General Services. - Service area and users: Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, and Will counties; Illinois governmental units and qualified not-for-profits. - Scope: Move planning, packing and labeling, loading, transportation, placement, and, when needed, storage, disposal, and trade labor such as electrical or carpentry work. Hourly billing starts upon arrival at the originating location and excludes travel time. - Pricing requirements: Union-labor moves require a project-specific, all-inclusive flat-rate quote that follows the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Quotes must be detailed; charges exceeding the original quote require written approval. An on-site assessment may be requested at no cost. Description

Central Management Services (CMS), in agreement with the Chief Procurement Officer for General Services, is seeking bids to establish a joint purchase master contract for moving services in Region 1, covering Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, and Will counties. The contract will allow governmental units to purchase professional moving services and related supplies as needed during the contract period, and vendors must be available seven days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. CMS may make multiple awards; the resulting contract term is five years with no renewal options.
