Clemson University is seeking a supplier to design and install a custom outdoor ropes course at its Outdoor Laboratory. - Government buyer: Clemson University, Clemson University Outdoor Laboratory; Pendleton, Anderson County, South Carolina. - OEMs and vendors: No manufacturers, OEMs, or vendors are named in the solicitation. - Base scope: Design and install one custom ropes course with at least nine elements selected by Clemson, including a zip line. Use poles and appropriate existing trees and course components where feasible; remove unusable elements, connections, and anchors. Leave old cable that is not reused for the owner. - Design and operation: A linear layout and bypass routes are preferred. The course must be operable by no more than two facilitators. A continuous belay system is an optional, separately priced addition, including the equipment needed for participants and facilitators. - Safety and site requirements: Comply with ANSI/ACCT 03-2019 performance and inspection standards and applicable current ANSI/ACCT DPI standards. Build entirely on Clemson University land within 250 yards of the existing course, while minimizing impacts to trails, plants, wildlife, and facility guests. - Users and accessibility: The course is intended for year-round use by children aged seven and older and adults, including people with speech, hearing, vision, or other impairments. - Deliverables: Proposals must include design drawings, a detailed equipment and features list, company qualifications and relevant experience, a project schedule, facilitator training details, and an all-inclusive cost. The supplier must train Clemson Outdoor Lab facilitators and provide a written post-construction inspection report confirming that new and reused elements pass inspection. - Evaluation: Award is to the lowest responsive and responsible offeror.
