The South Dakota Department of Game, Fish & Parks is seeking a printer to produce and distribute its 2027 Tatanka magazine. - Government buyer: State of South Dakota, South Dakota Game, Fish & Parks (SDGFP), with Custer State Park identified as the office. - OEMs and vendors: No OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation. - Quantity and format: Print 290,000 copies of a 40-page magazine, trimmed to 8-1/4 x 10-7/8 inches, with a four-page cover and 36-page interior. Use four-color printing on both sides, full bleed, and saddle stitching; varnish or aqueous-coat the cover. - Stocks and proofing: The cover is specified as 80# #3 gloss text and the interior as 50# #4 gloss text. Provide a color proof; over- and under-runs are not allowed. - Packaging and environmental requirements: Pack 50–80 copies per new, uniform cardboard box. Paper must meet a qualifying environmental certification or recycled-content criterion, subject to the specification’s alternative-paper provision. Include “Printed On Recycled Paper” and an inscription identifying the publisher, print quantity, and approximate cost per copy. - Distribution: 175,000 copies delivered and 110,000 shipped to Custer State Park; 4,360 delivered to South Dakota State Parks in Fort Pierre; and shipments of 500 to Sioux Falls, 60 to Chamberlain, 50 to Watertown, and 30 to Webster. No Friday deliveries are allowed; delivery appointments and location-specific instructions apply. - Production files: InDesign files will be supplied to the selected vendor.

The South Dakota Department of Game, Fish & Parks is seeking a vendor to print 290,000 copies of the 2027 Tatanka (Custer State Park Magazine). The 40-page, full-color magazine must be saddle-stitched, and the vendor must provide a color proof and use environmentally preferable paper products meeting the stated criteria or an eligible alternative. The InDesign files will be provided to the successful vendor no later than December 2, 2026.
