Description

DARPA’s Young Faculty Award program funds innovative early-career research intended to enable transformative Department of War capabilities and develop researchers focused on national security. It targets rising researchers in academia and equivalent positions at nonprofit research institutions, particularly those without prior DARPA funding. Multiple cooperative agreement awards are anticipated, with a maximum possible amount of $1,225,000 per award including optional periods. Proposers must submit an executive summary before a full proposal; the full proposal deadline is January 13, 2027.
