Description
The notice concerns coordination of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation’s Beyond Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BBOW) Program, an auxiliary effort of the Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) Program. The programs teach women outdoor skills through volunteer instructors and hands-on instruction; BBOW generally offers smaller, single-day follow-up classes and events for women who have completed beginner classes at BOW workshops. The coordinator will work alongside DEC’s Hunter Education Program and maintain and build partner relationships to support outreach to underserved communities, non-traditional user groups, and women statewide. The Department states that it intends to award the work under discretionary purchasing authority and has not issued an open solicitation for quotes.
