Turnkey Four-Classroom Modular Building for Craven Community College

Craven Community College is seeking a turnkey modular classroom building for its Public Safety Training Center in New Bern, North Carolina. - Government buyer: State of North Carolina, Craven Community College, Purchasing & Fixed Assets. - Procurement: One delivered and installed four-classroom modular building, preferably a double-wide, with classrooms of approximately 700–800 square feet each. - Key requirements: ADA accessibility; at least one unisex restroom (two preferred); HVAC; pre-installed data cabling and network jacks; utility connections; stairs and a handicap ramp; and permitting, installation, and cleanup by the vendor. The building must meet North Carolina educational-occupancy, modular construction, and hurricane-safety requirements, and include specified life-safety and structural features. - Alternate bid: Convert one classroom into four finished, lockable offices with partition walls, doors, electrical outlets, and associated finishes. - OEMs and vendors: No manufacturer, OEM, model, part number, or vendor is named in the procurement materials. - Delivery and acceptance: Delivery is anticipated in early 2027 or later, depending on site readiness. Contract performance continues through College acceptance, with warranty obligations afterward.

Description

Craven Community College is seeking proposals to provide and install one turnkey, four-classroom modular building. The building will be installed at the College’s Public Safety Training Center, 501 Executive Pkwy., New Bern, NC 28562. Only electronic responses are accepted, and vendors must be registered with North Carolina’s Electronic Vendor Portal to submit a response. A mandatory conference/site visit is scheduled for October 26, 2026, and proposals are due November 6, 2026, at 2:00 PM ET.
