The City of Ames Parks and Recreation Department is seeking on-demand delivery of freshly prepared, ready-to-eat pizzas for department facilities and other City locations. - Government buyer: City of Ames, Parks and Recreation Department; Purchasing office. - OEMs and vendors: No pizza OEM, brand, or vendor is named in the opportunity. - Pizza options and bid units: Cheese, single-topping, and multi-topping pizzas; vendors provide a price per pizza for each option. The stated quantities are pricing units only, not guaranteed orders. - Product requirements: Approximately 14 inches in diameter (±1 inch), medium crust, and cut into eight equal slices. Each pizza must contain at least 13 ounces of part-skim mozzarella and/or an appropriate cheese blend; imitation cheese is not allowed. Meat toppings must be USDA-inspected. - Preparation and delivery: Pizzas must be freshly prepared and cooked after ordering, then delivered in insulated containers to requested City locations. Vendors must state expected delivery times and include delivery and related costs in quoted prices. - Vendor qualifications and service: Vendors must be located within Ames city limits, hold a current Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals license, and have passed sanitation inspections for the preceding three years. The selected vendor must provide a service representative and accept returns and credit the City for unacceptable or late products. - Ordering and evaluation: Proposals should explain ordering, delivery, ingredients, preparation timelines, and invoicing. Evaluation may consider a blind taste test, appearance and taste, delivery response, references, and cost. - Demand and contract term: Approximately 550 pizzas were ordered in the prior year as historical information only; the City guarantees no quantity or spending. The initial term is one year, with up to four additional 12-month renewals by mutual agreement and subject to funding approval.

Description
