Replace the Stove Prairie Landing 32-Foot Closure Gate

The USDA Forest Service is seeking a small business contractor to remove and replace the broken closure gate at Stove Prairie Landing in Colorado. - Government buyer: U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Forest Service, USDA-FS CSA Intermountain 8; project area is within the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and Pawnee National Grassland. - Scope: Remove and dispose of the existing 32-foot double-lane gate and posts, then install a replacement gate with holding and support posts, concrete footings, grading, and revegetation. Includes required labor, materials, equipment, and oversight. - Gate and related items: Fabricated steel gate assembly; four BM-R and four BM-L barricade markers; six yellow reflective object markers; one 24-by-8-inch NO PARKING sign; and one Forest Service lock. The Government provides the lock and seed. Yale gate locks are referenced in the statement of work. - Notable specifications: Gate components include steel tubing, plates, hinges, and locking-post features. Paint the gate two coats of Forest Service Brown (FS Color 30059). Marker fasteners must be Simi Vandigard or an approved equal. - Contractor requirements: Submit a technical approach, construction schedule, materials information, staging-area proposal, traffic control plan, and accident prevention plan. The schedule and other specified submittals are required before construction begins. - Set-aside and magnitude: Total small-business set-aside; stated project magnitude is $25,000–$100,000. - Performance: Begin work within 10 calendar days after notice to proceed; the stated performance period is 274 calendar days.
