The Illinois Secretary of State is seeking a contractor to replace the fire pump system at the Stratton Building in Springfield and complete related building-system work. - Government buyer: Illinois Secretary of State, Physical Services. - OEMs and named product manufacturers: Aurora (fire pump), Tornatech (fire pump controller), and Read-O-Matic (water meters). - Requested equipment: One Aurora horizontal split-case fire pump, model 6-81-15E; one Tornatech GPS fire pump controller or pre-approved equal; one 10-inch RPZ assembly; two Read-O-Matic water meters for domestic and irrigation systems; and PVC funnel/drain piping, valves, fittings, sprinkler piping, and associated components. - Services: Remove and dispose of designated existing equipment and piping, install the specified equipment and components, and complete related fire suppression, plumbing, and electrical work. Preserve the existing fire department connection and designated testing outlets and valves; meet applicable codes and safety requirements. - Notable qualifications: Bidders must have current Illinois Capital Development Board prequalification and at least eight years of commercial fire-control-system experience.

Description

The Illinois Secretary of State is requesting bids to replace the existing fire pump system in the Stratton Building at 401 South Spring Street, Springfield, Illinois. The scope includes replacement work described in the IFB and accompanying drawings. Bids must be submitted electronically through BidBuy by November 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for October 29, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Howlett Building in Springfield.
