The Pennsylvania Game Commission is seeking installation of woven-wire deer-exclosure fencing across seven State Game Lands project areas in Sullivan and Bradford Counties. - Buyer: Pennsylvania Game Commission, Bureau of Wildlife Habitat Management, Forestry Division; Northeast Region, Package NE-B. - Scope: Approximately 45,192 linear feet of fence across about 359 acres, on State Game Lands 12 and 66. The contractor supplies labor, supervision, materials, tools, and equipment and performs clearing, fence and gate installation, erosion control and seeding as required, debris removal, and a deer drive before fence closure. - Project blocks: Dutchmaster (6,000 ft); Bear Swamp Blocks 1–3 (4,955, 5,895, and 5,165 ft); Leroy CCC (6,931 ft); Little Bitty Blocks 1–2 (9,731 and 6,515 ft). Block-level acreage, gates, and site instructions are listed below. - Fence requirements: Approximately seven-foot-high woven galvanized wire, with fixed-knot or hinge-joint construction and specified coating options; wire must be at least 14½ gauge, with at least 12 horizontal wires and no more than six inches between vertical stays. Post, brace, fastener, fence-bottom anchoring, gate, and deer-ramp construction requirements apply. Equivalent products may require approval by the Chief Forester. - Named manufacturer: Caterpillar is referenced only as a benchmark for a bulldozer of at least D4 class for fence-line clearing; no Caterpillar equipment is separately requested. No fence manufacturer or other vendor is named. - Gate-detail caveat: Project attachments do not fully agree on gate types for Leroy CCC and Little Bitty. The compiled project table describes seven 16-foot truck gates and three 40-foot skidder gates overall, while other attachment descriptions differ for those blocks. Confirm gate configurations against the controlling plans and specifications. - Notable site instructions: Tie new fencing into existing fence where specified; keep the Little Bitty Block 2 haul road open and coordinate the fence location; use the existing trail along part of its northern line; and place the Leroy CCC fence above, rather than through, the landing. Deer-ramp installation is specified for Little Bitty Block 1. - Pricing and performance: Bids are priced per linear foot and awarded by line item; payment is based on actual footage installed. Work must meet the Commission's installation requirements and applicable site restrictions.
