DLA Maritime–Pearl Harbor is seeking one Easy-Laser Generation XT660 shaft alignment system kit for Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and IMF. - Government buyer: Department of the Navy, Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and IMF; solicitation issued by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), DLA Maritime, Pearl Harbor Competitive Sourcing Division (DLA-HMD). - OEM: Easy-Laser. The requested system is identified as model XT660 and is required for alignment checks of the flexible coupling between a generator and reduction gear under Model AG9140RF Ancillary Equipment Bulletin 9140RF-039. Use of another system could produce data Naval Surface Warfare Centers cannot interpret. - Quantity and kit contents: One system kit, with XT12 display (12-1291, 1; specified as having a 13MP camera and HDMI output), XT60-M measuring unit (12-1028, 1), XT60-S measuring unit (12-1029, 1), shaft brackets with chains and rods (12-0963, 2), 900 mm extension chain set (12-1060, 1), 75 mm extendable rods (12-1161, 1 set of 4), USB memory stick (03-0914, 1), battery charger (12-1009, 1), DC split charging cable (12-0989, 1), DC-to-USB adapter (12-0751, 1), measuring tape (03-1707, 1), quick manual (05-0863, 1), and medium carrying case (12-0973, 1). - Notable requirements: NIIN 01-731-9442 is not acceptable. The solicitation also says a camera is not allowed, while the listed XT12 display is specified with a 13MP camera; this apparent conflict should be clarified. Offers must identify the manufacturer, provide estimated delivery time, and include traceability to the manufacturer. Evaluation considers price, technical acceptability, and delivery.

This is brand name  solicitation to Easy Laser.

THIS solicitation  has a traceability requirement: 

Offerors are required to submit  traceability back to the MFR.  Failure to provide this information may result in your quotation being determined technically unacceptable.

Examples of acceptable traceability are:  1) A copy of a quotation from an approved source specified in the solicitation; 2) A copy of the letter from the approved source stating that your company is an authorized dealer/distributor for  the approved source or the approved source’s official web site listing your company as an authorized dealer/distributors; or 3) A copy of the letter from an approved source specified in the solicitation stating that the company you are procuring the item from is an authorized dealer/distributor for the approved source or the approved source’s official web site listing your source as its authorized dealer/distributors, along with a copy of the dealer/distributor’s quotation to you for the item quoted.  

Evaluation criteria is Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). PPIRS will be used to determine vendor responsibility.  Potential contractors will be screened for responsibility in accordance with FAR 9.104.
