DLA Maritime is seeking an Easy-Laser shaft alignment system kit for Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and IMF. - Government buyer: Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), DLA Maritime, Pearl Harbor Competitive Sourcing Division (DLA-HMD); the equipment is for Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and IMF, Department of the Navy. - OEM: Easy-Laser is the named manufacturer. The notice requires manufacturer identification and traceability back to the manufacturer. - Primary request: One Easy-Laser Generation XT660 shaft alignment system kit, part number XT660, for checking the flexible coupling between a generator and reduction gear, as specified by Model AG9140RF Ancillary Equipment Bulletin 9140RF-039. - Kit contents: XT12 display (12-1291), XT60-M and XT60-S measuring units (12-1028 and 12-1029), shaft brackets and chains (12-0963), extension chain set (12-1060), extendable rods (12-1161), USB memory stick (03-0914), battery charger (12-1009), charging cables/adapters (12-0989 and 12-0751), measuring tape (03-1707), quick manual (05-0863), and medium carrying case (12-0973). - Important requirement discrepancy: The kit description specifies an XT12 display with a 13MP camera, but also says that a camera is not allowed. This should be clarified before quoting. NIIN 01-731-9442 is explicitly not acceptable. - Other notable requirements: The specified Easy-Laser system is required because other systems may produce alignment data that Naval Surface Warfare Centers cannot interpret. Offers are evaluated on price, technical acceptability, and delivery; DoD unique identification requirements apply.

This is brand name  solicitation to Easy Laser.

THIS solicitation  has a traceability requirement: 

Offerors are required to submit  traceability back to the MFR.  Failure to provide this information may result in your quotation being determined technically unacceptable.

Examples of acceptable traceability are:  1) A copy of a quotation from an approved source specified in the solicitation; 2) A copy of the letter from the approved source stating that your company is an authorized dealer/distributor for  the approved source or the approved source’s official web site listing your company as an authorized dealer/distributors; or 3) A copy of the letter from an approved source specified in the solicitation stating that the company you are procuring the item from is an authorized dealer/distributor for the approved source or the approved source’s official web site listing your source as its authorized dealer/distributors, along with a copy of the dealer/distributor’s quotation to you for the item quoted.  

Evaluation criteria is Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). PPIRS will be used to determine vendor responsibility.  Potential contractors will be screened for responsibility in accordance with FAR 9.104.
