Jacksonville State University is seeking a complete automated chemistry analyzer and compatible laboratory water purification system for research and student instruction in its Department of Kinesiology. - Buyer: Jacksonville State University, Procurement and Fixed Assets. - OEMs and vendors: No manufacturer, OEM, or vendor is named. Bidders must identify the proposed manufacturer and model; equivalent equipment is allowed. - Equipment requested: One automated chemistry analyzer system and one compatible laboratory water purification system. The analyzer package includes an integrated sodium/potassium/chloride ISE module, computer or workstation, monitor(s), data-management software, required licenses, and other equipment needed for a complete system. The water system includes pretreatment, a storage tank if required, water-quality monitoring, and required accessories and connections. - Analyzer requirements: At least 200 photometric tests per hour; random-access and simultaneous multi-analyte testing; testing of serum, plasma, and urine; and enzyme, protein/immunoturbidimetric, lipid, metabolite, and electrolyte methods. Required assays include CK, LDH, ALT, AST, ALP, GGT, total and direct bilirubin, albumin, total protein, total cholesterol, HDL, direct LDL, triglycerides, glucose, lactate, BUN, creatinine, uric acid, sodium, potassium, chloride, CO2/bicarbonate, calcium, magnesium, inorganic phosphorus, and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein. Cystatin C, myoglobin, ferritin, and transferrin are desirable but not required. A separately priced optional alternate may test total testosterone and cortisol in serum or saliva. - Water system requirements: Compatible with the proposed analyzer and meeting at least CLSI CLRW or ASTM Type II water quality, using reverse osmosis and deionization or an equivalent approach. It must have sufficient production and storage capacity and monitor water quality. - Equipment condition and reagents: New, manufacturer-refurbished, or professionally refurbished equipment is acceptable. Refurbished equipment requires documented refurbishment and quality assurance; the analyzer must be tested, calibrated, and certified before installation. Reagents, calibrators, and controls must be commercially available in the United States. Bidders must identify assay reagent details and estimated annual operating costs. - Services and support: Include delivery, installation, system and utility connections, startup, operational verification, calibration and two-level QC verification for required assays, and initial on-site training. Provide at least a 12-month comprehensive warranty covering parts, labor, travel, and on-site service, plus telephone and remote technical support. Bidders must state service response times, parts/reagent/service availability, and site-preparation and utility requirements. - Use and evaluation: The equipment is for research and instruction, not clinical diagnosis of human patients. Proposals are evaluated on technical compliance, service and support, total cost of ownership, and vendor experience and references.
