DLA Weapons Support is conducting market research on manufacturing sources for a broad range of legacy Detroit Diesel engine and equipment parts. - Government buyer: Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), DLA Land Columbus, DLA Weapons Support. - Opportunity status: Sources-sought market research, not a solicitation or award. - OEMs and manufacturers: Rolls-Royce Solutions America Inc. is the principal identified manufacturer; Rolls-Royce Solutions GmbH is also listed for select items. Detroit Diesel is the engine make associated with many applications. Other named equipment or platform references include Huber, Athey, Harnischfeger, IMC, and GMC/Allison. - Products requested: More than 330 NSN/CLIN parts, primarily for Detroit Diesel engines and equipment. The assortment includes engine assemblies and components, fuel injection parts, pumps, cooling and filtration parts, exhaust components, hoses and tubing, bearings, seals, gaskets, fasteners, electrical components, and instrumentation. The provided summaries do not state procurement quantities; packaging quantities are not purchase quantities. - Representative NSNs and manufacturer part numbers: - Fan impeller, NSN 000000082, P/N 5145212; crankshaft pulley cone, NSN 000066175, P/N 5119189; governor link assembly, NSN 000095236, P/N 5124274. - Oil pump assembly, NSN 001038561, P/N 5116110; fuel pump, NSN 001034550, P/N 5142748; water pump assembly, NSN 010706987, P/N 23506768. - Fuel injector, NSN 009867305, P/N 5228780; cylinder sleeve and piston assembly, NSN 012300203, P/N 23503811; crankshaft, NSN 013662082, P/N E23502165. - Transmission fluid cooler, NSN 012489566, P/N 8928715; turbocharger assembly, NSN 014803847, P/N 23514179; blower assembly, NSN 011637006, P/N E25101155 (alternate P/N R5103533). - Notable requirements: Many entries are identified as critical-application items and carry source-approval or technical-data controls. Item-specific packaging, marking, handling, and kit documentation requirements apply. Examples include new-only fuel injectors (no rebuilt parts), a fresh-water-pump kit insert required to be fully ceramic, special handling and orientation markings for selected parts, and acceptance/documentation criteria for remanufactured blower units. For one cooling-system pump, an alternate offeror must provide a complete data package for evaluation. - Delivery context: The market survey asks manufacturers to describe their capabilities for current Customer Direct Delivery needs and anticipated requirements that may include OCONUS and Foreign Military Sales deliveries.
